2023 Season Dates
The following dates are current as of March 1. The league is still finalizing the schedule, and we will inform you as soon as dates are final. Please check back for more information in mid-March.
Mon, May 1 - First Day of Practice
Sat, May 13 - Meet
Sat, May 20 - Meet
Sat, May 27 - no meet this weekend (This meet is being moved to an alternate date at home. Check back in mid-March for more details.)
Sat, June 3 - Meet
Thurs, June 8 - Meet (evening meet at JCC)
Sat, June 17 - TBD Meet (possible meet, or may be a bye week)
Sat June 24 OR Sun June 25 - Champs Meet (This will definitely be a one-day meet, and will either be held on Sat June 24, or Sun June 25.)
Swimmers are required to wear a team suit at meets. 10 & under swimmers wear the Redfish Q brand suits. 11 & up swimmers may wear either the Q brand suits or plain black suits with the team logo.
Please place your swimsuit orders directly with Swim Freak using the order link below. Swim Freak will hold one fitting in Avery Ranch prior to the order deadline. If you cannot attend the fitting you will need to make arrangements to get fit at their South Lamar location.
Suit Fitting in Avery Ranch: Wednesday, March 22nd @ MAC from 5-7PM
Suit Order Deadline: Sunday, March 26th 2023

Avery Ranch Redfish Swim Team
We are a competitive recreational summer swim team located in the Avery Ranch neighborhood of Austin, Texas. Our swim team is for the exclusive enjoyment of our residents and their grandchildren.
We are a part of the North Austin Aquatics League (NAAL) that includes the Balcones Blue Wave, Forest Area Swim Team (F.A.S.T. Frogs), Great Hills Gators, Westover Wild Orcas, Shalom (formerly JCC) Piranhas, and Twin Creeks Twisters. Our typical season is 8-9 weeks long with 6 swim meets and one CHAMPS meet.
Our Mission Statement:
- To instill in all swim team members the love for swimming in a safe, quality, athletic training program;
- To recognize and promote swimming as a life-long activity, which can contribute significantly to the physical and emotional growth and development of swim team members through healthy exercise;
- To develop good sportsmanship, team effort, and spirit;
- To improve the technical ability of each swimmer.
